Main Attractions:

  1. The CityPlace is an urban city centre where travellers can spend all day and night and still not experience everything there is to offer, do, and eat. It’s one of the biggest draws in South Florida, where you can enjoy shopping, dining, entertainment, live music, a happy vibe, and a colourful parade of characters. On weekend evenings, excellent local bands perform at the Plaza, and you may well find yourself dancing to the music.
  2. One winter some years back, officials at Florida Power & Light’s facility just north of West Palm Beach began noticing that manatees – Florida’s beloved “sea cows” – were congregating around the facility’s warm-water discharge, and the idea for Manatee Lagoon was born
  3. Flagler Museum is housed in the spectacular 1902 estate built by Henry Flagler as a gift to his bride, Mary Lily Kenan. The beaux-arts–styled Whitehall was one of the most modern houses of its time and instantly became the focus of the winter season.
  4. Society of the Four Arts Botanical Garden: These stunning gardens were originally outlined and fostered by the Garden Club in 1938 as ‘demonstration gardens’ to showcase tropical plants that suited the south Florida climate.
  5. HMF stands for the man himself: Henry Morrison Flagler. This stunning bar-cum-lounge is within the building’s North Loggia where you’ll definitely feel the ghosts of glitterati past. While the dress codes might differ these days (although most arrive elegantly attired), the party atmosphere – and whispers about the ‘who’s who, what and where’ – is still going strong.
  6. With its modern American menu and James Beard-nominated chef, Clay Conley, at the helm, Būccan is the ‘it’ place to eat in Palm Beach. Flavour-hop with a selection of small plates, including smoked chicken sliders, and move on to snapper ceviche. Reservations recommended.
  7. Created by renowned New York chef Daniel Boulud, the restaurant at the Brazilian Court hotel is one of the few places in Palm Beach that truly justifies the sky-high prices. The warm dining room, beautiful lit-marble bar, and terrace complement a rich menu of classic French and fusion dishes, all displaying Boulud’s signature sophistication and subtlety.
  8. South of Southern Blvd on Ocean Blvd, before the Lake Worth Bridge, this is another place to catch rays.
  9. Palm Beach Municipal Beach is one of Palm Beach’s two beautiful public beaches, both of which are kept seaweed-free by the town.
