  6. Cliff Stephens Park provides stormwater management and flood protection for Clearwater and the surrounding area. This lovely 44-acre green oasis includes a number of paved trails for hiking, biking, and inline skating, Frisbee golf, an exercise course, and a number of picnic tables and grills.
  7. You can ride the wind with a kiteboard, a new fast-growing sport that combines sailing, surfing, and wakeboarding. You can try paddleboarding and after a short introductory lesson takes a 2-hour tour of magnificent waterways filled with dense mangroves, home to ospreys, pelicans, all sorts of other birds, and so much fish.
  8. Encounter Dolphins, a narrated 3.5-hour fun sightseeing tour of Clearwater’s harbour. You will enjoy a steady ride aboard the 40-foot excursion boat, with awnings for shade and comfortable seats. You will learn about our local fauna and watch dolphins in their natural habitats.
  9. Pick from one of the guided kayak eco-tours or fishing trips. Learn to paddleboard or rent one of the kayaks/paddleboards and test the waters by yourself.

Philippe Park is the oldest park in Pinellas County with huge trees along the hiking trails providing ample shade to the adventurous souls, a mile-long path along the shoreline, and a fantastic view of the Old Tampa Bay.   11. The Ream Wilson Clearwater Trail is a bike and hike trail that links the Pinellas Trail and the planned Florida Progress Trail. The trail will provide a pleasant, safe, and educational off-road trail that will connect the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay from Clearwater Beach to Safety Harbor.
  12. Café Ponte is one of Clearwater’s best-kept secrets; an elegant, upscale restaurant with comfortable furniture, white tablecloths, understated décor, and open kitchen. Chef Chris Ponte offers a New American fare with touches of French, Italian, and Asian influences, creating an interesting and unexpected fusion of flavours and ingredients.
  13. Safety Harbor, a dock in the northwestern part of Tampa Bay, almost completely landlocked. The charming small town of Safety Harbor is located on the west shore of Tampa Bay. Part of very old Florida with tunnels of old oaks dripping moss over brick-paved streets, the town is perfect for a leisurely stroll to check out lovely boutiques, pubs, restaurant and much more.
  14.  Sand Key Park, a beautiful Clearwater park with two major areas – a wide sandy beach and a park. The park has various picnic areas with shelter for shade, grills, picnic tables, water fountains, a restroom, and a kids’ playground.
  15. Clearwater Marine Aquarium keeps an eye on the turtles and records the statistics on the turtles’ visits and the number of eggs, as many marine turtle species are endangered.
